- No nickname, so no publishing, until someone you refer starts a paid Pastel Cloud subscription
We have no ads and no data business to subsidise the price, and by design we can't read what you keep private. The subscription pays for the service itself. Here is how it will work. Prices are announced at launch, and the waitlist hears first.
We don't show ads, sell data or train anything on your files. Your subscription pays for the service itself.
Most people keep well under a terabyte. We're sizing plans so you don't pay for space you'll never fill.
If a payment fails, you can still read and edit everything on your devices. Only new uploads pause until it's sorted.

A nickname is your name on Pastel Cloud. It comes with any paid plan. On a free account, you get one when someone you refer starts a paid Pastel Cloud subscription.
Each nickname has a personal page at yourname.pastel.blog. Use it for a bio, a resume, a personal blog or a page of links.
Everything published on Pastel Cloud appears under a nickname. Without one you can still keep, sync and share your work privately, but you can't publish.
We don't earn from what you store, and by design we can't read what you keep private, so the subscription has to pay for storage, sync and the people who look after it.
Yes. A free account comes with 100 MB of storage. It has no nickname, so it can't publish, until someone you refer starts a paid Pastel Cloud subscription. Each person you refer who starts one also adds 250 MB, up to 5 GB.
We never see your full card number. Our payment provider, Polar, processes your payment.
Polar is the merchant of record, the seller named on your invoice, and handles value-added tax. It shares some billing details with us, such as your email address and the last four digits of your card. How privacy works lists them.
You'll be able to export your files, sheets, photos and notes in formats other apps can read, then cancel. There's no exit fee, and your work stays readable on your devices.
Leave your email and we'll write when Pastel Cloud opens to its first members. Early places go to people who care about owning their work, and we'll let them in a few at a time.
